Frank Mungeam is VP of digital content for Tegna Media. He joined the Tegna Media corporate team in July, 2014. Mungeam had been the director of digital media for KGW-TV in Portland, Oregon since 2006.
Prior to joining Tegna, Mungeam was the new media director at KATU-TV in Portland. Before focusing entirely on digital, he was a TV producer and executive producer at KATU-TV. He started his broadcast career as a producer at KING-TV in Seattle.
Mungeam graduated from Harvard College with a degree in psychology. He also has a masters in communication and leadership from Gonzaga University. Before joining the Tegna corporate office, Mungeam served as an adjunct professor in the creative media and digital culture program at Washington University, teaching courses on digital and social media. He has also authored two books, one published by Simon and Schuster.
Mungeam has one son and they share a love of the outdoors, including hiking, camping, and snowboarding. Mungeam is a professional ski instructor and on most winter weekends can be found making tracks cross country skiing.
