Michael Englehaupt joined Graham Media Group as the vice president and chief technology officer on June 1, 2015. In his role, he is responsible for leading the IT and engineering strategy as the organization continues to evolve into a more digitally-centric, IP, and IT-based media company.
Before joining GMG, Englehaupt served as the chief technology officer for KQED in San Francisco since 2013, overseeing all technology planning and strategy for their 3 UHF TV stations and 2 FM radio stations, as well as their web and mobile sites. Previously, he served as the director of broadcast operations and engineering with KPIX-TV in San Francisco from 2003 - 2013, and with KABC-TV in Los Angeles from 1999 - 2003. Prior engineering assignments include WLS-TV, Telemundo, and WMAQ-TV, all in Chicago. Throughout his long career, Englehaupt has led facility rebuilds, renovations and improvements, managed IT expansions, and driven energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
