Robert “RJ” Russell
Robert Russell is the vice president of engineering and operations for WTXF Philadelphia. Over his career, he has held similar positions with E.W. Scripps, BYU Broadcasting, DISH Network, DirecTV, Catamount Broadcasting, and Sunbelt Broadcasting.
Russell was a regional engineer on the nationwide 2GHz relocation project mandated by the FCC and executed by Sprint/Nextel. He has provided consulting services for clients in the United States, South America, and Samoa.
Russell has also been active in industry organizations, including SMPTE and the Advanced Television Systems Committee. He is currently a member of the executive committee of the Society of Broadcast Engineers.
